Winter Camp

Preparations are under way for our annual Winter Scout Camp. Rooms have been allocated, menu and patrols are sorted.

A few final tweaks to the programme are underway, and as many of you have guessed, we are offering target shooting as one of the bases: This is an opportunity to test your skill using a .177 air rifle.

It is all about marksmanship; the ability to repeatedly place shots in as small an area as possible in the centre of the target. (so those who haven't got their forms back.... make sure you do!)

I would like to tell you more about what we are doing, but I feel it may spoil the excitement, except to say I have my camouflage jacket, trousers, balaclava, boots and socks all ready for 'kick the can'!

Don't tell anyone, but also we will be reinstating the game 'HIDE!'. If you are not familiar with the rules of HIDE then I suggest you better find someone who is!
