How To Get To Family Camp 09

It was going to be more trouble than it was worth coding up a nice html page for the proper site to tell you everything you need to know, so I thought a blog entry might be good.

Most important first - the postcode that will get you closest to the site is NE45 5RA which takes you here:

Click on the "view larger map" link above to see a version with a marker on it. This marker (or point "A" as I will refer to it) is very important to the rest of this info.

You will see from picture that it looks like the best road to get to point "A" is the light-coloured track which runs in from the east. This is not the case! The ONLY way to get to point "A" is to come in from the smaller looking track that runs in from the north in a straight line. If you choose the other route you will get stuck.

The entrance to the site is on the brow of a hill and will be staffed by someone from 18:30 through to 20:00. The entrance to the site is NOT at the bottom of a valley on a bend.

Oh! The large field directly south of point A is our home for the weekend - look at all that open space!
