Bartonnaire

I've been bombarded with questions regards the Bartonnaire, so I'd thought I'd give you what information I could. (obviously the official secrets act applies so if the questions you want answering are not here, then it's probably because I cant tell you just yet).

Yeh, yeh, I've heard your nonsense before, so when is it?

Sunday 24th May. I can't give you a firm set off time yet, as the teams need to be allocated first. As a rough guide prepare for between 9 and 11am.

Where is it?

I can't tell you yet. Its a secret!!

Oh thats great, is there something you can tell me?

Ha ha, sorry, but them are the rules. But briefly , its a sort of incident hike, or challenge hike if you prefer.

How long will I be walking then? Is it far?

The route is reasonably short, over 8km and covers easy ground. Each team will have to navigate round the route and you will encounter certain 'challenge bases' along the way.

Oh great I love challenges! are the really tough?

The challenges aren't really tough, the whole idea is geared to having fun.

Whoo hoo, fun is my middle name, what else can you tell me?

To make it interesting to, we have made it a competition, which we all know means prizes!

This just gets better! So, what sort of stuff will I need?

Well, you will get a kit list,but for some insider info you'll need to walk in boots, carry waterproofs and a packed lunch.

You never said "don't walk in wellies", you always say that!

Oh yes, no jeans! how did I forget! Well, that all seems quite comprehensive, is there any insider info you can impart? I won't tell anyone, it will just be between us.
